Here’s the rundown on how to start a fundraiser, and what to do once you sign up.

SIGN UP – Fill out the form on the [SIGN UP] page, and fax or mail in a completed fundraiser agreement contract. We will contact you to verify your information, and ship you a fundraising kit with catalogs, order forms, and closeout documents.

ONLINE SALES REGISTRATION – After signing up, we create an online sales account for your music group. To sell products online, fundraising participants simply register for their online sales accounts at the [STUDENT SIGNUP] page.

After registering, students will receive a unique ID number. This ID number is how online sales are tracked, so it needs to be entered by customers for every online purchase. For more details on online ordering see [FUNDRAISING ONLINE]

TIME TO SELL! – After all students are registered, it’s a green light to go make some money! There are a variety of ways to organize, motivate, and diversify your sales force; many decisions are yours to make.

Our program offers the ability to sell products from standard paper-catalogs AND from our website. More information and tips about utilizing our online sales system can be found here: [FUNDRAISING ONLINE]. Also, see [FUNDRAISING TIPS] for info on how to run a better fundraiser.

COLLECT/MANAGE MONEY - Your organization gets 40% of total sales from both online and paper-catalog sales. Collecting and receiving payments is as follows:

Paper-catalog sales: Make sure all money is collected and accounted for when your fundraiser ends. Included in your fundraising kit will be a pre-addressed envelope to Hal Leonard. In this envelope goes your check for 60% of the money from paper-catalog sales, along with all paper-catalog orders.

Online sales: Once Hal Leonard receives your organization’s check and order forms from paper-catalog orders, they process any remaining online orders, and collect the remaining online payments. They will then send your organization a check for 40% of total online sales (excluding shipping charges for each sale).
